Removable Dentures

Dentures and partials are prosthetic appliances that improve the aesthetics and functionality of your smile. Partial dentures replace a few missing teeth. Dentures are needed when a patient misses many or all of their teeth. A dental examination and x-rays are conducted to determine the need for dentures. The denture creation process involves taking impressions of the teeth and gums, color and gum matching, and fitting adjustments. Dentures typically last around seven years before replacement is necessary.

Removable dentures are prosthetic devices used to replace missing teeth. They are designed to rest comfortably on the gums and can be easily taken out and reinserted by the patient.

With proper care, removable dentures can last between 5 to 10 years. However, they may need adjustments or replacements over time as the shape of the mouth changes.

To properly care for removable dentures, clean them daily using a soft-bristle toothbrush and a non-abrasive denture cleaner. Avoid hot water, as it can cause the dentures to warp. It’s also important to remove and rinse them after meals and to soak them in water or a denture solution when not being worn.
