Dental Cleanings

Dental cleanings and exams are necessary to keep your teeth and gums healthy. At your comprehensive exam, our dentist will check for cavities, problems with dental restorations, and any other dental-related problems that may arise. We even perform an oral cancer screening at your examinations as a way to take precautionary steps towards a healthier mouth. The cleaning is performed by a hygienist who will work to remove tartar and stains from your teeth. Additional fluoride treatments may be suggested to strengthen the teeth further.

Regular dental cleanings help remove plaque and tartar buildup, prevent cavities, gum disease, and other oral health issues. They also provide an opportunity for the dentist to check for early signs of problems.

It is generally recommended to have a dental cleaning every six months. However, your dentist may suggest more frequent cleanings based on your oral health needs.

During a dental cleaning, a dental hygienist will remove plaque and tartar, polish your teeth, and provide fluoride treatment if needed. The dentist may also examine your teeth and gums to check for any issues.
