Tooth Extractions

We recommend gentle tooth extractions for children with decay or crowding, ensuring their overall health as they grow. If your teen is experiencing pain in the back of their mouth, Strive Dental Studio provides preventative wisdom tooth extractions and removal of impacted wisdom teeth.

A child may need a tooth extraction due to severe decay, infection, crowding, or to make space for orthodontic treatment.

The procedure itself is not painful as the dentist uses local anesthesia to numb the area. Post-extraction, any discomfort can usually be managed with over-the-counter pain relievers.

After an extraction, it’s important to keep the area clean and avoid certain foods. Follow the dentist’s post-care instructions, which may include rinsing with salt water and using ice packs for swelling.
