Why would Teeth Whitening be needed?
You may want professional whitening because your teeth are currently stains and discolored. Patients who smoke, chew tobacco, drink a lot of tea, coffee and soda will benefit from regular professional whitening. Professional whitening helps to remove stains from the teeth so that your smile is brighter and lighter. It can take years off of your appearance and provide you with a healthy-looking smile.
“First appointment, exam and cleaning. They could not have been more pleasant or more professional. Very good first impression, offices neat and clean, staff very well trained, I will be going back.”
Who’s a good candidate for Teeth Whitening?
It’s important that you come in for a consultation to determine if you’re a good candidate for professional whitening. We will perform an exam and make sure that your teeth are healthy enough to undergo whitening. Keep in mind that the majority of whitening systems used will not lighten restorations like veneers, fillings or crowns. You should have been to see a dentist at least once in the past year to be eligible for whitening.
What happens during Teeth Whitening?
You will come into our office for impressions that are taken of your teeth and mouth. These impressions are used to create a new set of whitening trays. We will then provide you with a special whitening gel that isn’t just more potent than what you’d find in local stores, but easier on your teeth and gums so that you experience less sensitivity. You will be instructed how to wear your whitening trays at home and can come in regularly for additional gel for touch-ups throughout the year.
